Sale is acting like the Sox most dominate pitcher since their last cy young award winner.

I love watching fast games at the ballpark, when our ace is dominant. Sale had 8 perfect innings; only base-runners in the SD 5th. Very nice to see Paulie still has something left in the tank to help the team.

Only negative: the wave in the 8th inning.

Agree on all points. Best game I've attended since Opening Day, which not coincidentally is the last time I saw Sale pitch in person. He is a helluva pitcher. He was getting ahead of guys and striking hitters out early, so the Padres adjusted and started swinging at first-pitch strikes. That strategy was not effective either. Sale got a lot of outs on one or two pitches, which was key for throwing a complete game. Masterful pitching today, and a big hit by Konerko with two outs in the sixth to provide a little breathing room.

But seriously Sale is out of this world. A true joy to watch.
I can't say for sure that Sale is the best; but Samardzija the best; that's absolutely ridiculous! Tod Hollandsworth is no better valuing pitching than he was playing baseball.

I think you may be right. Sale is downright dominating the opposition right now. I can't believe we have the best pitcher in the bigs but much of the reason why we will be m 500 to end the year will be because we have a stud at the front of the rotation, a bomber in the middle of our line up, and some speed up top. All we need is a couple of proven bullpen arms, a closer, and one more quality starter and this could be a special ball club.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Watched the game recording when I got back this evening. Took me about 1.5 hours. That's crazy quick!

Great job by Sale, including going the distance. He frequently makes batters look silly. It is so cool having an ace on the pitching staff that you can pretty much count on for a win every 5 games.

Disagree

Just a beautiful thing, this complete game 2 hit, 128 minutes game fashioned by Chris Sale....

And the icing on the cake is that PK was the stud hitter we know he has been, with a homer and 2 rbi double.

I repeat...PK is not done yet.

And hopefully, Chris Sale is just getting going.

Nice cheap homer by Flowers also....one handed, off the end of the bat...big boys sometimes get those!

Now, Go West Young Men....and conquer the LA teams.
