It's an amusing idea, but one of the other traditions involving Opening Day is playing hooky to go to the game.

They'd probably make it the first Monday of the Baseball season, thus giving the bureaucrats another three day weekend.

IMLTHO, I think Smith misjudged one of his back flips and hit his head. I don't know if the mods consider Mark Twain's observation on Congress' mental capacity forbidden territory or not, but if they pass it, it would be evidence in his favor

Opening Day Holiday Petition reaches it's goal. It may take up to 60 days for a decision to be made. The petition will remain live on WhiteHouse.gov until then.
