Wow. So I'm guessing the Sox are now releasing tickets that were previously being held back for Season Ticket packages. Seats in the first 20 rows weren't available back on Feb 26 when tickets first went on sale with the codes.

One Dog next Sunday.

Forecasts are starting to converge on good for OD. I'm seeing a 61 on weather underground and 64 on Accuweather.

Does anyone know why they don't let people choose their own seats for opening day like they do for every other game?

It is staring to look like this game won't be sold out. I guess it is not surprisng following a 99 loss season, but it was never this easy to get OD tickets.

It is totally understandable. The lesson lately with tickets seems to be the longer you wait, the better deal you get, and that seems to apply to all aspects, whether season tickets, walkup, stubhub, whatever.

I think a lot had to do with pricing also, $94 for lower box and $112 for lower platinum is a lot of money for a team coming off a 99 loss season. This is the first year in a while I opted not to get lower box seats, and got lower reserved instead for $60 a piece.

Good luck finding a picture of Charlie Lau in his #6 Sox uniform. Maybe your Google-fu is stronger than mine.

Dynamic pricing is creating an empty seat dynamic.

Well hello again, Jorge Orta

I am super-excited about the upcoming Sox home opener and cannot wait until Monday. The weather is supposed to be fantastic. I will once again be with my father (86 years young) watching the Sox home opener on his large HD TV. GO SOX!!

October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions!
