I was at this game. That place was my summer home. Bittersweet night....

That's what I have been using. Generally save them as mp4s to watch later.

Was at both this and the final game. Given all the summers I spent at the old park, it was a tear filled couple of days. Even now, about twice a year, I still have a dream about getting into the old place.

The broadcast missed the best part of the fireworks show. They loaded up the light towers with fireworks and shot them off a la the last home run of The Natural. It was really unreal and probably in violation of every fire code written before or since. I'd love to see a video of it.

I noticed this dude just posted Seaver's 300th win yesterday too. It's a great game for a lot of reasons. Baines makes an insane catch in RF against the Yankee Stadium wall, and LaRussa gets thrown out after bumping the home plate umpire. The only bad part is that it's the Yankees feed.

I don't recall ever seeing a MLB pitcher wearing a single digit uniform number, much less the number 1 like Matt Young was for the M's.

He had a big year for us that year. 12-4. He was odd in that he threw fastball, curveball, and a Knuckleball. We got good milelage out of McDowell, king, Melido Perez,, and Hibbard, but could never get a a credible 5th starter.

I wonder why he was talking about Camden Yards during the last night game at Comiskey.

Even teens seem uncommon for pitchers now. The Sox recently had Cliff Politte wear 18, and Shingo wear 10, but I can't even think of any others, aside from 16 and 19 obviously.

It was mentioned during the game that he changed his number from 30 to 1 to accommodate Ken Griffey Sr when he joined the team.

To this day, I still remember the name Adam Peterson. Don't ask me how or why. I just remember as a 13-year-old, I knew he sucked...

IIRC, Josh Towers wore 7 for Toronto a couple of seasons ago.

As for the old Comiskey, I drive past it pretty much every day on the way home from work and I think of all the great times I had there when I was a kid.

And as someone else posted, I have dreams where I'm still in the park somewhere as a fan or even playing. I would have made Marv Foley or Bill Nahorodny look fast.
