How much did it cost to replace the roof just a couple years ago?

They could save a fortune on costs to dismantle it by sending busloads of Sox fans up there with sledgehammers. Megabus tickets for the ride from Chicago to Minneapolis start as low as $1.

Likely paid by the Metrodome's insurer.

Great news! Because a ring beam fell out of sequence last week, they used explosives to bring the rest of that portion down! Looks like we somewhat got our wish after all.

Awesome! I bet Hawk wishes he would've been the one to detonate those explosives.

That damn place was a house of horrors for the Sox for so many years. A game that stands out in my memory is one from August 2005. Freddy Garcia faced off against Johan Santana, surrendered a solo home run to Jacque Jones, and we lost 1-0. Games in the Metrodome were over before they started for us. I won't miss that hell hole one bit.

Unless I'm mistaken, that was the only hit Freddy gave up as well. That right there is the archetypical Sox-Twins game from 2002-2010.
