Yeah, exactly, people don't remember that Ventura was considered a butcher at 3B as a prospect.

I hope he can make strides but it has been awhile since the White Sox were able to teach a prospect much of anything. But you're right, Ventura is a good manager to have mentor a young third baseman on defense.

Another good move.

And yeah, the answer to "who's our closer now?" is "who cares?"

This has been an exciting offseason so far.

Such a tired meme, it's been just as much that the Sox just have had bad players. I know it's been a week since he was traded, but do we not remember them teaching a pitcher drafted in the 30th round enough to flip him for a former 1st round pick?

And either way, errors are pointless. This is like worrying what kind of socks the young man wears.

2014 can be about finding the closer for 2015 as far as I'm concerned.

Wow, nice move. I'm really digging Hahn's offseason. I can't remember the last time the Sox had a young core with some upside hitting the majors at around the same time. Kids Can Play?

Next up, catcher. Maybe we can dump Viciedo or De Aza to Tampa for Lobaton plus a prospect or two.

As bad as the season was, this has been a fun off season so far.

Pitchers and catchers report in two months!

Dunn is a trade/salary dump waiting to happen and obviously PK is in retirement tour mode-

Davidson at 3rd enables a number of good things to happen- no risk of forcing Semian to plug 3rd- which could open up the ability to trade Beckham if he can generate trade value, it allows us to dump Gillaspie as the AAAA player that he is, and hopefully Keppinger has a good spring- and we can get someone to take off our hands the right handed version of Mark Teahen.

I also like the overall change in team chemistry all of this young talent will bring- this is very significant overhaul from late July, 2013 to Opening Day, 2014.

And now Hahn can (possibly) play the last card of trade bait he has available (De Aza) to get an upgrade at catcher- might be a long shot.
