It's amazing how in one short year DeAza went from one of the main cogs in the 2012 lineup to the dog house of many of us here at WSI. I remember being at a game in TB in 2012 and he was hurt on a pickoff at 2b and looked like he was in horrible agony and I was so depressed at the thought of losing him for awhile, now I can't wait for us to trade him.

Now just draft Alex Johnson and let's hope that he pans out and maybe, just maybe, this team might rebound faster than I thought they would.
The other issue is that the Sox had four lefty starters, so it made sense to move one.

Yeah, exactly, although due to his pitch repertoire, Santiago's splits resemble that of a RHP more than a LHP

I wouldn't complain with him or Kolek if the draft were tomorrow. I'll be watching this top 6-ish very closely.

I just read on twitter that De Aza made 26 outs on the bases last year. That kind of clowning is why I'm sick of him... and his defensive deterioration was lagniappe. And, yes I liked him a lot a year ago.

His power remains impressive and he's quite young, but we'll have to see how the Sox handle him going forward."

There's no one taking him off of prospect lists, he's too young.
My bad, it was BP, not BA.

From Zach Mortimer's chat after minor league rankings:

Going forward I hope Hawkins is able to make the necessary adjustments, improve his hit tool, and jump back onto the prospect radar. For me, it just is not there right now."

Eaton is the kind of guy this organization really needs. His stats last year can be thrown away because he was bouncing back from injury. Before that he came onto the scene and did great in his first shot and had propelled through the minors. I think he is going to bounce back and fit in well.

Big price to pay but I think this will turn out very nice! His upside and ceiling is huge and I think he will get there if he can stay healthy.

He is also a class act. Not that it helps his baseball skills but he will be a great face of the franchise if he pans out.

The more I think about it, the more I like this trade for the Sox, love it for the Angels, and wonder what the heck Arizona is doing.

I like it. I gotta say, in my opinion this team isn't looking too bad right now.

I know this is the running joke, but given the moves we've made the last half decade and the way they've all pretty much panned out, isn't it safe to now assume that Keith Law is gospel in regards to moves the White Sox make? He hasn't been wrong about us, ever.
