Coming back from TJ surgery is always a risk, but it's worth a shot. I wonder if one of the young arms will get traded soon?

This clears the deck for that Sale-for-Chase Headly deal.

Please don't even kid. I'm getting worried already, with all of those wonderful available rents.

Another hoping for a miracle move.
As of now 2014 is looking like maybe winning 70 games.
Does anyone here have an idea what Hahn is up to?

13-32 for his career and coming off Tommy John.

Coop'll fix him.

I've looked at his numbers and suspect that "Felipe Paulino" is Spanish for Dylan Axelrod.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a precursor to possibly dealing Santiago, or maybe even Quintana.

I expect 79-81 wins.As far as what Rick Hahn is doing,
your guess is as good as mine.I haven't a clue.

No worries, Sale is going nowhere.

No, Paulino -- unlike Axelrod -- throws very hard. And, in 2012, he appeared to turn the corner pitching for KC when he got injured.

Paulino is a low risk gamble, though, so why not take a chance?

Yeah, this is a good signing for a team that A) needs to find creative ways to acquire talent and B) has a better than average track record of fixing wayward pitchers. If you can fix the guy and flip him in July, great. If you can't, eh, you're only committing $1.75 M over 2 years.

I believe I read where year two is a $4 million dollar option? Is there a buyout, I don't know?

Yes, a long term vision rebuild. Yes, 2014 is gonna suck. But I'm not going to sit here five years from now and lament 2014 when I'm celebrating our second straight World Series title. Because 2014 is lost, whether or not we rebuild. Who cares, in the long run, how far it's lost when Hahn's making the right moves for our future? So far, he's impressed me (which is saying a lot considering how down I was on all his moves prior).
