Very tough position to fill. I would try to find someone that could carry the tools and not worry about his stick at all. Is there someone out there like that? I dont know.

I thought about Paul putting fans in the seats. He will definitely put fans in the seats whenever his day is. Other than that he probably will help bring some causal fans into the park. A casual fan will be familiar with his name and face. It appears as though the causal fan will look at next years box score and think it is a winter league team. Familiar names and faces can bring in causal fans for an occasional game or two.

I went to the last game of the year mainly because I thought it could be Konerko's last one as a player. Of course, the final day of the season is different than other days in the season.
Having said that, some fans might come to a game late in the 2014 season just to see Paulie play one more time. |

Let me just say the first time I see Konerko and Dunn in the lineup card together, I might go berserk.

Well, Abreu has never played a 162-game season at the highest level of the sport before. He will need some days off, I'm sure. Hopefully, Abreu plays about 140 games and hits the hell out of the ball. Konerko can start the other 22 at 1B. That's fine.

I thought you meant in games that matter. In which case we'll be fine since those won't be happening til 2015.

Taking AB away from a kid like Semian L.Garcia A. Garcia Abrue Gillaspie or anyone that has a pulse basically. Young kids need every AB they can get. Sox are so top loaded with INF bench players it's ridiculous. And you're telling us they have no one presently on their bench that can do the same job Konerko can do?
