Default From '10-'13, Sox Players On Average Have Lost the Least Days to DL Per Season

Per FanGraphs:
http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2013-...ist-team-data/

Whatever they're paying Herm Schneider, it's not enough.

Dr. Pain. Hawk sometimes says the players stay off the DL because being with Herm is worse. I can see some truth in that.

Why rush back to play baseball when you are getting paid to rest comfortably on the DL?

On the contrary, there is a lesser chance one our players could be Wally Pipp'ed.

When the players staying healthy aren't that good, it doesn't really matter.

I look at it from the standpoint that at least this is something the Sox organization does well.

It seems like this should be a draw for the Sox when free agents are deciding where to go. Nobody wants to get hurt, and if you're less likely to get hurt here. It's probably not enough of a factor to offset the difference in $$$$$$$$$ though.

Too bad it's seemed to be starting pitchers that have been the ones mostly hurt. Peavy, Danks, and Floyd

2010-13 featured some of the least motivated lack luster baseball I have seen on the south side since the daze of Jerry Manuel. If guys are not hustling to make the nearly impossible plays they are less likely to get hurt, less likely to go on DL, and less likely to win. So, yeah, Herm is a god but this stat tells us that Aaron Rowand and his energy departed the building long ago. Maybe not all good, eh?

On the downside, it shows how bad we really are. Least injured team and still no playoffs. Get Dunn outta here.

Too bad that hasn't meant more success for us. So much opportunity wasted.

I'd be willing to bet you could go back further than 2010 with that title.

This is something the Sox have significantly improved on in my lifetime.
