Since it seems to be taking over discussions everywhere, thought we might as well put it to a vote. What do you guys think of Quintana and his future?

Currently the #2 starter on the Sox. When people digest that along with the current position players, pepto bismol may be needed.

I think he's a 3/4 as I still remain skeptical.

The last time I checked, he was a pitcher.

It's good to know I'm not alone.

I'd say he's a 3 or a 4 starter, but that's not a knock.

He was in the top 20 in the AL in every category that matters for a pitcher. Unless you mean the position players drag the average so low that everything looks awful, I don't see how you can be upset with Jose. He's young, he's cheap, and he's effective. Exactly what we need.

With the type of club the Sox have they will need a lot better #2 than Quintana in order to compete. In order for the Sox to compete, Quintana would have to be the #4 and probably the #5 not the #2 he currently is. |

The type of club the Sox have is terrible. If you're trying to build a team with bad defense and bad offense, yes, Quintana won't cut it. There aren't 5 pitchers in the league good enough to carry this team.
