Don't like getting stomped in the Div Series, Pittsburgh? Shouldn't have signed Morneau.

Picking against St. Louis in the playoffs seems to be a fool's errand but, what the hell, I'll do it anyway. Go Bucs?

Pirates beat the Card 7-1 in Game 2. Games 3 and 4 are Sunday and Monday in Pittsburgh.

We got a series.

Pirates were 10-9 vs. the Cardinals during the regular season, going 7-3 in Pittsburgh. The new playoff format doesn't preclude teams from the same division playing each other in the first round, which could be a big disadvantage for both St. Louis and Boston this year.

I think that it would be absolutely outstanding, if the Pirates and A's both met in the World Series .. i've been following the Pirates since june and the A's are fun to watch .. Gray looked impressive the other night ..

Pedro Alvarez ends the no-hitter on a HR nearly into the Allegheny River.

That kid must have hella movement on his fastball. He only looked to be throwing that and a changeup and, according to some graphic they showed on the telecast, 82% of his pitches were fastballs.
