Default Sox Strike Out: Tribe 7 Sox 2....

A standard 2013 drubbing, with only 16Ks by the good guys.

I very much dislike Swisher. Since Axelrod can't pitch, would be nice if he could throw a pitch up and in and knock the smirk off of Swish's face.

How the **** do you go 2-17 against one team in a season?
I get that this is what comes with the territory during a rebuild, but geez Louise.

Ed Farmer suggested the Indians send a couple bottles of champagne to the Sox' clubhouse. Take away Cleveland's records against the sox, and they're barely past the break even mark

This game was lost when Axelrod was sent to the mound. The score could have been worse. The Indians were taking one good swing after another against him.

It'll be time to release Axelrod when the season ends.

One could say the same thing about the Rangers and their victory total against the Astros this season.

You are supposed to beat bad teams. Something the Sox rarely do while in contention.

I would have preferred someone else in the farm was given the chance to make these last two wasted starts by Axelrod.

Not sure what's the point to continue to send this guy out there.

Unless they plan for him to make this team next year. That would piss me off even more.

The only reason he was sent to the mound was to make sure they secured the number three draft pick. God help them if they went on a winning streak and passed the Cubs.

Indeed. they should just sit the veteran stiffs in the bullpen as well.

I'm usually dismissive of this kind of conspiracy talk, but not his time. Poor Ax might hurt his neck someday trying to follow line drives coming off the bat.

Leesman would have been the other option. Frankly, he hasn't shown much since his recall, other than the ability to walk people. Probably a lost cause regardless.

Let's hope this was the last time we see Axelrod pitch in a White Sox uniform.

I would assume so, I have a feeling Axelrod will be back with the organization next year because, well, somebody has to pitch every 5th day in Charlotte but if you look at the depth chart now, you've got 6 SP ahead of him, at least, 7 if you want to include Leesman, and hopefully 8 next year if Chris Beck breaks out like I think he will.

I came on to post the exact same sentiment!

Hang on, everyone. In four days, we will all be able to say that we survived the 2013 White Sox. I'm going to make a sign to that effect and bring it to the game on Sunday.

96th loss. One more loss to match the lousy 1976 team's total.

All the Sox have to do is win one more game out of the last four to avoid the 100-loss mark. Can they do it? #makeanimpact
