Default *OFFICIAL* 9-18-13 Streak is over post gamer

2 game winning streak is over as Twins win.
Nice snappy game, Danks was hit hard in first 2 innings but settled down and retired 16 in a row before being pulled after 7 innings.
Semien continues to impress and L. Garcia made a great play going deep into the hole to throw out a runner at first.

You have to love Little Nell's enthusiasm. Are you sure your not related to Nellie Fox?

Why has Ventura played Alexei day after day after day. He's subbing the other guys with the larger roster, but rarely Alexei.

My only guess is to showcase him for a possible offseason trade.

Frank Thomas, Hall of Famer. I love the sound of that.

Bingo. Ramirez will be shopped over the offseason.

I believe one of Beckham and Ramirez will be traded, likely Ramirez because, well, he's a better player than Beckham and will bring more in return.

Good guess. If it makes a difference between playing 160 games and 155 games to a trading partner.

Another awful performance by White Sox hitters. This has been one long horrible season. Other than the Opening Day victory and the sweep against the Yankees last month, I can't think of any other good memories from this 2013 season. I'm always down when the season comes to an end. I don't care about the other sports anymore so when the baseball season is over it's a bummer for me. I haven't felt this way in many years but I will be glad when this season is finally over with. I would like to think there's going to be major changes this off season with the White Sox. I can't believe Hahn is going to bring back this same group of players next year. I'm hoping this coming off season will be more interesting than what this past 2013 White Sox season has been.

That sweep of the Marlins in late May when they actually got to .500 and it looked like maybe, just maybe, they could turn this thing around?

God, they've gone 36-68 since May 24, worst overall mark in the Majors and aside from Houston, no one's even remotely close. 36-68 is winning at a .348 clip, which would produce a 56-106 record over a full season.

Blegh.

And yet I'm [irrationally] optimistic that Hahn will turn this thing around. He's already cleared a lot of salary off the books.

That would make sense if Alexei is being showcased, he is really the only position player with some value. De Aza has some, but not that much compared to other outfielders. Alexei has not been having the same brain cramps he had earlier in the season. I would hope that whatever was going on with him is resolved. There is a thin shortstop market, so we might be able to get something.

You mean the series sweep that might cost us the #2 draft pick?
