He's gotta be in a keeper league.

Gattis hit a homer earlier in the game and stared down Hernandez. Later, Johnson hit a deep fly ball and was talking crap to Hernandez as he jogged down the baseline, Fernandez's homer was sweet revenge and McCann took offense to him admiring his homer.

IMO, Gattis and Johnson started the drama (mostly Johnson). Hernandez isn't at fault.

Harold Reynolds on MLB Tonight broke the whole thing down beautifully, find the clip if you can, I can't post vids from my phone.

I don't think they're being treated like babies.

Not at fault for starting it, but at fault for escalating it.

I sure hope so, but I think it will be a long time if ever before this attitude changes. Jose Hernandez gave evidence of being a dominant pitcher, a top of the line ace, but he was only asked to go a little more than 6 innings per start. His last year in the minors he averaged about 5 1/3 innings in his 25 starts. If you look at minor league stats and box scores you will find this is more the norm than the exception. One of the biggest reasons pitchers can't complete a game or consistently go deep into a game, pitch more than 220 innings or so, is that they're not being asked to. Then you have relievers strictly slotted. The long guy in blowouts, and the 7th, 8th and 9th inning specialists. Don't forget the LOOGY's too. It's ridiculous but that is today's managing "book." Manage differently at your peril. People still blame Dusty Baker for ruining Mark Prior.

Dropping him after a couple consecutive bad starts 3 or 4 months ago probably cost me my fantasy league.

Yeah I did the same thing. By far my biggest regret.
