Default Dunn done after the season?

I wouldn't mind losing a one-tool player regardless of how good he is.

Guess what Adam, most people don't have fun at their jobs. Don't make yourself out to be a victim making 15$M/year.

He was saying this same thing in 2011 during his historically bad season. He'll be back.

The dude is a lunatic to leave $15 million sitting on the table guaranteed. He'll be back.

Yeah, if only we were so lucky. I'll believe it when I see it, otherwise, I fully expect him to be in Glendale and sucking up payroll next year.

I'm not sure there could be much better news in the offseason than if he retires. That would be about 25% of the payroll freed up depending on who else we sign.

If you look at Ventura's quote, he is sure to put a lot on Dunn for these feelings.

The White Sox aren't lucky enough to have this big slug actually retire.

Imagine having an extra $15 million in payroll to play with. The Sox could actually sign a few productive players, or put it to work developing the farm system.

Adam Dung isn't going anywhere. It was a slow news day, and Rosenthal jumped on the story. I don't blame him. That's his job.

There's no way Dunn will walk. He's not having any fun? Give me a break. He's making $15 million to play a kids' game. Once he's done, he can do whatever he wants with his life. His kids are set for life, as well as several future generations, as long as he invests wisely.

Dunn retire with a year left on his contract? No way it will happen.

I actually thought the White Sox would be able to move him before the trading deadline this year. I figured that if the Cubs were able to move Carlos Zambrano, Todd Hundley and Milton Bradley, the White Sox would be able to move Dunn. Unfortunately he's still with the White Sox. I'm convinced NOBODY wants him. Even if the White Sox pickup most of his remaining salary, I don't think anybody wants him on there team. Dunn told David Schuester on the SCORE that he intends to play after his contract expires with the White Sox after the 2014 season. I think he's in for a surprise when he finds out that nobody wants him. I have no doubt in my mind that Dunns last stop in MLB will be with the White Sox. I'm just hoping its sooner rather than later.

In looking up Dunn's WAR, which is a Blutarsky-esque 0.0, I noticed that two of the three worst WARs in the AL are Konerko and Keppinger.

I wonder if we can give him a $2-3 million incentive payment to retire. We'd probably have to eat far more than that in salary payments to another team to trade him, and I'd rather his ABs go to Viciedo or someone else to get more spots open in the OF next year.
