Default *Official* Yet another series win 8/28 postgamer

Nice run support for Sale courtesy of the Flying Garcias!

BTW the Sox are now 1/2 game ahead of the Flubs.

Congrats to Robin on his first career series victory against Houston. And it only took three tries!

Been winning a lot of series lately, at least the Sox are finishing strong.

It's a shame we shut down Chris Sale because he got shelled by the Rangers. This might have been a game to keep an eye on otherwise.

Waiting for someone to bitch about the pitch count. Don't let me down.

Anybody know why they were wearing the '83 jerseys tonight? Didn't see the game. Sounds like Sale did his thing pretty well.

He was great tonight, struck out 7 in the first three innings, the only guy who got to him was Carter who hit 2 balls really well, just missed a HR in the 2nd that went off the wall and then just destroyed the ball he did get out. But otherwise, Chris just overpowered the Astros. They had no chance.

Sale was really on top of his game tonight. The only Houston hitter who had good swings was Carter, who for whatever reason plays well against the Sox. I was worried the offense wasn't going to support Sale. There were a lot of opportunities missed against that Houston starter, but fortunately, our old friend Lucas Harrell really sucks. He walked three guys in that seventh inning, and the Sox made him pay.

Actually, I thought Ventura removed Sale from the game at precisely the right time.

I believe the pitch count was 107. I was extremely disappointed as Robin allowed him to throw 8 pitches too many.

Each one of those pitches took six months off of his career.

It's a shame when 2 years of greatness has gone to waste.

King Felix, you have company. Meet Chris Sale.

Kept him under 110 on a night he was pitching well. Gave Jones and Reed a night off. No problem.

How did this SS look? Weird that he leads off, but he coaxed a couple of walks despite not hitting much in the majors.

He created that second White Sox run all by himself. He worked a leadoff walk, stole second and went to third on the throwing error. And I don't know if there's another guy on this club who would have scored on that shallow fly to center off the bat of Keppinger.

From what I've seen of him so far, he has great wheels and he's smooth in the field. But the bat obviously needs some work. The swing is a little too long, and he was late on the fastball more than once tonight. He did work some counts, drew a couple walks and got a man in from third base with less than two outs when the opportunity presented itself.
