Default Alex Rios Appreciation Thread

Continued success in Texas with A.J. Pierzynski.

Rios: "It was a great ride. I enjoyed my whole time here. I had many great moments here. So, I’m going to miss this place."

I'm bummed and wish they would have gotten more for him. As long as they use that money well I'll be fine.

Saving a lot of money. Hopefully it can be put to good use somehow.

I give him credit for junking that horrible stance he had which led to a very good season last year and a decent season this year. Rios is one of those players that you felt that he was leaving something in the bag, just not playing to his full potential and sometimes not giving 100%.

The only time remember actually feeling excited about anything he did during his time in Chicago was when he hit a walkoff homer against Seattle early in 2010 a day after Andruw Jones also hit a walkoff homer.

Decent player, but I won't miss him. The 6/6 game is probably his most memorable highlight for me.

He was arguably one of the most frustrating players to watch.

I really hope Sox fans aren't that foolish.

The biggest issue with Rios was that contact. If his salary was in the 6 to 8 million dollar range, I could live with the less than stellar effort or brain cramps on the base paths but since he was receiving $12 million, he was more like a Ferrari with a Yugo engine.

I always liked watching Alex play. Such a graceful athlete. With tremendous talent. But it always seemed he should have accomplished more.

I'll miss watching him run
