Dan Hayes
Rios traded to the Rangers

Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN 1m My guess is PTBNL will be Leury Garcia but they'd announce it at a later time when he doesn't have to clear waivers.

Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 2m
Rios traded to texas with $1M for ptbnl

Really glad they were able to get this done quickly. Hahn is smart. Knows what he's been left with and doesn't want his moves to settle for salary dumps. If we're lucky, maybe AJ will be the PTBNL. Realistically, hope it's someone with a promising future.

Cancel that on Leury Garcia. Was told will be a player to be named or cash. #WhiteSox #rangers

Similar to the Crain deal.

I bet we still get him, they just pulled him back because the Astros claimed him. We will just get him at a later date.

So it sounds like Texas will be eating a lot of the contract.

Dan Hayes says the PTBNL is Leury Garcia. Anybody know anything on him? Stats seem bad.

How many players have been moved after the trade deadline twice?

1 million by the Sox. 3 mill by the rangers for this season. Per ESPN radio

He had a good season last year in AA.

His stats make him seem like an Orlando Hudson-type. Decent infielder, a little speed, but not much pop. Will be interesting to see how the Sox try to use him. I only see him with a future here if Ramirez is traded or he develops nicely at third next spring training.

So we're basically paying for the 500K raise that Alex gets upon being traded. Not bad.

I'm still holding out hope that the PTBNL is someone better than Leury Garcia. Sickels has him ranked as a C+ prospect (Rangers have 9 C+ prospects ranked 16-24 on his preseason list.) He sounds like an all-glove no hit type player thus far.

No wonder our front office wanted Garcia. Look who he compares to!

Yeah, seems like a lottery ticket that might be closer to The Bigs than most guys that age. Whatever.

Hahn got pretty what I figured he'd get for Rios... Someone that allows our fan base to go "well at least we got something back."
