The Astros are a patient outfit. I guess they really are looking to build some huge talent depth, so that they can have a steady influx in a few years like Tampa Bay.
A-ball outfielder who's the Tigers' #6 prospect. Plus sometimes those PTBNL are recent draftees, where they need to wait to trade a player after the draftee trade deadline.
Besides, Springer and Singleton will be starting for the Astros as early as September, so there's no need to take prospects of less quality and/or closer to the big leagues.
I really wonder if Norris will be dealt - they still have him cost controlled for 2 more seasons, so if they don't get the haul they want, I could see them waiting until the winter.
