I suspect that there might have been a lot of roid rage at play in that brawl.

Yep, a lot of punks on that old Tigers team. I recall Juan Samuel clocking some Sox player from behind too. Fick, Higgenson, Weaver, Lance Parrish I think was a coach.

Look at how Higginson cross-checked Parque in that brawl. Totally dirty.

To do what, exactly? Finish...close to not under .500?

Fick was a bad actor. He works now as an agent ( ) and says he's sober now. Good for him if that's true. The implication is that his behavior was a byproduct of his alcohol and chemical use.

I was amazed at his audacity in trying to knock the ball out of firstbaseman Eric Karros' mitt in the 2003 playoffs. To Bobby Cox's and the Braves' credit, they released him not long after that, making it clear they didn't want that kind of player on their club.

I'll never forget the beer shower he got in the bullpen when he came out of that 2000 brawl. That was poetic.

The biggest thing that I find annoying about Chicago fans. My belief is that this stems from Bears fandom, but I cannot back that up.
