Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse . . .

I'm considering adopting another team to follow this season. Not that I won't continue to follow and root for the Sox, but I'm going to need something else to get through this. Maybe the Pirates. I like talking in a Pirates's voice. Aaargh! That's something. Isn't it?

Heck, I was saying that when comparing just these games. When you're losing games like those, blow it up sooner than later. Our prospects can't disappoint us much more than that.

At least for the moment munch is right. They are the worst team in baseball. They need to go 40-45 to equal the win total of 2007. Do you really think they're going to do that? I deluded myself when they were at .500, thinking maybe they could be as good as last year. The joke is on me. I'm not laughing.

Fridays doubleheader of 7hrs. and 53 minutes, broke the old Major League record (7:39) for two nine-inning games set by the White Sox and Rangers on May 24, 1995.

Why is blowing it up going to end the misery? They will still suck, maybe even worse.

Our trade deadline fire sale will be the ultimate indictment of the last 5 years of the KW GM era-
  1. If we trade Alexei- Beckham is our new SS, or Angel Sanchez
  2. If we trade PK- Dunn is 1B, Viciedo to DH, and Wells/Danks/De Aza is our LF
  3. If we trade Rios- I'm not sure who plays RF- Wells?
Unless they are major league ready "now" prospects- we could be giving the "legendary" 1970 White Sox a run for their money.
June 28, 1970 27-47
June 29, 2013 32-45

We're 3.5 up on the 1970 team with 3 months to go-the 1970 White Sox were 9-19 in June, 2013 team is 8-17- so it's neck and neck-

Doug Padilla
Ventura sits Viciedo after running blunder.

Bruce Levine
A trip to the bench followed by a possible demotion to the minor leagues may be the fate of Chicago White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo.

Which players should the Sox just fire? Who will replace them - the stiffs we have at Charlotte? We should fire the people in management who got us these players.

...but that's not going to happen. There's no accountability in this organization. Maybe there's some other loyal former 80s/90s player we can hire to rearrange the deck chairs.

I am wondering how many times we are going to see DeAza and Viciedo forget how many outs there are in the outfield. I have seen this at least three times in the past two weeks where they start running in when there are only two outs or they make the final out of an inning and throw the ball back in like there are still two outs. The DeAza one last night was embarrassing.

Yikes. I got there in the 5th inning of the first game. First time I can say I ever got to the ball park after 23 runs had already been scored.

Valentin- at least you knew what you were getting with Manos, and the dude played the game the right way. His mistakes were generally physical, not mental. His big game winning hits made up for the times he threw the ball 18 feet over Konerko's head at first. I'd take a guy like Manos back in a second.
