Can certainly see it. I know the Sox were talking about it.

That would be Hector's spot in the rotation

We'll have a plan midweek and announce what the next step will be," said Hahn of Danks. "We'll have him around for the next couple days, probably throw a [side session] with Coop."

I don't care what he does. We need another arm in that rotation.

We could use the extra arm in the pen that comes from a healthy Danks in the rotation.

Tribune says decision will be made after Danks throws bullpen session today.

Chuck Garfien
Robin Ventura says White Sox will make decision about Danks tomorrow. He wants to start Friday for sure.

Chicago White Sox
John Danks threw a side session today w/ no discomfort. He hasn't received info about when he might start, but hopes to get good news soon.

I don't see what Danks has done to push Santiago out of the rotation. Put Danks in the pen.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he'd be more effective if he could pitch in long relief for two or three turns through the rotation. Then, if he succeeds, he can swap with the least effective starter.

Maybe give Don Cooper a call then and let him know how much better you would be than he at his job

Oh for crying out loud, I never once criticized Cooper, I just threw out an idea for discussion. Rather than address the idea itself, you borderline attacked me through unnecessary sarcasm. Why?

In my opinion, Danks' track record has allowed him the opportunity to join the rotation and see how it goes.

If the Sox want Danks to start right away, I'm going to guess that Cooper has a pretty big say in that decision, so by arguing you think it'd be better for him to start in the bullpen (I'm guessing you've closely monitored his rehab in person) you are clearly demonstrating that you think, in this instance, you would be a better pitching coach than Coop.

I will call bull.
