Who?????

I think I'd rather have Casper the friendly ghost. He probably hits better.

The problem with Casper the Ghost playing for the Sox is he constantly complains about phantom strike calls and he can never get hit by a pitch and truly take one for the team. Plus he is far to friendly, he seems like he belongs on the other side of town.

I doubt Wise is better than a single player on any major league roster.
I know we're all prone to hyperbolic negativity around here, but Wise is seriously better than like two-thirds of the Marlins roster.

The best part of this move? Septimo has been transferred to the 60-day DL to make room for Wells on the 40-man.

This decreases the odds that we'll ever have to see Septimo in a White Sox uniform again.

Not all of us.

That statement makes me seriously wonder how many other MLB teams you actually watch play.

This is a lot of meh. But I guess it couldn't hurt, not that I'm expecting much.

Wells is right-handed meh. Wise is left-handed meh. So I don't expect that Wise will be the one to go.

Likewise. Name some worse. I'm all ears.

Name the MLB players with over 1000 at bats currently hitting worse than .095 with career obp of below .261.

Maybe people like him because he hacks at it Ozzie-style, he's chicago tough, or he has TWTW.
But at some point, stark reality must be faced: .095 and .261
Hell for all the crap Dunn takes, his OPS is nearly 400 points higher.

.095 is in 22 at bats, dude.

I'm not saying I'm keen on Dewayne Wise or care if he stays or goes, but if you're bringing up a bench player's batting average in April, that's a pretty clear indication you don't know what you're talking about.

This is the band aid move until Tank is healthy. We needed a right handed power bat for a couple of weeks and since there is nothing in the minors, this fits the bill. Glad they at least did something to patch the roster until some of these guys come off the DL.
