Good to see Courtney Hawkins christen the new stadium with a couple of 2-run bombs.

I believe the Knights are opening up a new stadium next year in downtown Charlotte (or uptown or whatever they call the COB down yonder), as well.

They will finally play in North Carolina.

I always liked the Carolina Panthers' original plan for their football stadium proposed before the team even played a game, to have the stadium straddle the North Carolina/South Carolina border somewhere in the Charlotte suburbs, so the state line perfectly synced up with the 50-yard-line.

Probably would have made for a tax headache, though.
