Clutch hitting after two games (wins)? Not a concern.
Defensive lapses? Not a concern.

Baseball is a confidence game, just like golf.
If you are loose and have good mojo, things just tend to fall correctly.

Confident teams win 8-7 games when the pitching takes a day off, and they win 2-1 nail biters. It comes from confidence and a feeling that you KNOW things are going to go your way. Talent is best shown in a relaxed state, especially in this sport.

I love seeing a relatively young team looking like it belongs.
So far, so good!

Made it out there today...thank God for the sun. Viciedo was simply brutal - missed a relatively close foul ball as well. At least he made up for it with the dinger.

I find it humorous that there was no guess the attendance game played today. Seemed like there were as many vendors as fans.

2-0 to start the year. I like that.

It was pointed out already in this thread, but it bears repeating that the Sox did put a couple of nice swings on some well-hit balls today with RISP that just happened to find gloves instead of green grass, one of which, according to Farmer was a pretty nice play in LF by Alex Gordon. Even if 1 of those gets down this is maybe a 6-2 or 7-2 shellacking and we're all riding high. So hopefully they keep the approach and success will follow.

Not that the Royals are traditionally a contender, but it's nice to start the season off well against this pesky little crew.

I like it. April is the best time for irrational exuberance.
