We'll be lucky if we ever see a player like AJ again. What he lacked in natural ability he made up for in smarts and hard work. Will miss you and wish you lots of luck in Texas. Come back soon!

Thanks for the ring AJ!
Good luck except when you play the Sox.

I think Flowers will surprise this year

I don't know how you could dislike AJ, but this isn't the thread for that.

One of my all time faves with the Sox. I don't know that his impact on the team will be realized until he's been gone. Good luck to you and hope to see you back on the Southside in the future AJ.

Bye AJ! I loved the squeeze in the 2005 ALDS game 3 and of course game 1 ALCS. You will be missed.

(Happy shared December 30th birthday to the both of us as well!)

Here's to AJ and a very deserving standing ovation upon his return.

That's one very short line.

This won us a division. If I had to describe AJ Pierzynski to somebody who had never heard of him, and I could only tell one story, this would be the story.

And the second guy in that line is D'Angelo Jimenez.

AJ is the reason I started watching baseball. Becoming a baseball fan brought me some of the greatest people and things in my life. I owe a lot personally to him being the player he is. Thank you for everything, AJ. Best of luck in Texas. You'll always be my favorite player, no matter what uniform you wear.

Thanks for all your time in a Sox uniform, AJ - I love your fire and passion for the game. You'll always be loved on the South Side. Come back to the Sox after your contract is up...play, coach, or maybe...(dare I even say it?) be a Sox announcer!!!

I think by the end of 2013 everyone will appreciate AJ a lot more than they did at the end of 2012.

Good luck AJ! He was my second all-time favorite SOX catcher behind the guy who ended up in the Lemont corn field.

He was big part of many of the best SOX moments of the last few years, especially the 2005 World Series. Michael Barrett wishes he had your career!

Losing the face of the franchise to many around the country hurts.
