Sox finalized all their minor leagues coaches and staff today. Britt Burns will be the Double A pitching coach at Birmingham and Vance Law, who was fired as BYU head baseball coach after 12 seasons, will now be a special instructor in the system working directly under Buddy Bell.

I see a pattern here. Next Ron Kittle, then Chris Sabo.

LaMarr has come to spring training as a guest instructor from time to time but I don't know if he's interested in getting back into the game full time.

Maybe we'll get Tim Lollar to work with minor league pitchers on reducing walks, Tim Hullet as a fielding instructor, and Jerry Dybzinski can teach base running.

But though FRATER laughed openly, he wept secretly; and really he neither laughed nor wept. Nor did he mean what he said. |

I hope him and Hawk have made peace now that Ozzie is gone. Because I'd love to hear him broadcast some more. He was great with both Hawk and DJ when he filled in. But back to the topic...hope these guys work out for us. |

When I met him, we asked him if he would replace John Rooney (this was during the '05 World Series). He said that with him having kids, the travel would be too much. He wants to be with the munchkins.
