So they trade Span and now Revere. Cupboard is pretty bare in that Twinkee outfield now:

I'm surprised they moved both Span and Revere in the same off-season. I'd rather have Span, but they seem to have received a better return on Revere.

BTW, I noticed a Twin fan commented on the Span story that getting rid of Span was an absolute must for the off-season, any idea why?

They feel bad for what he has done to White Sox pitching.

Pitching, pitching, pitching. That's what the Twins must correct first.
I'm living in St. Paul and went to six or seven Twins games this past summer (three when the Sox were in town). Almost every starting pitcher was some no-name interloper with no long-term prospect. The Twins must have some serviceable, swift outfielders who can hit around .250 in their minor leagues. Seems like they always do. |

Maybe it's because, per "Most similar batters" on baseball-reference.com, he should have been playing in the early 20th century!

The Twins are starved for starting pitching, but Revere is an awfully steep price. I wonder if that means that they will fast-track Buxton. Worley should be a solid pitcher for them.
This is a nice trade for the Phils, Revere can patrol center field for them. They needed to get younger and faster and did so with this trade.

A Twins fan in my teacher ed program once claimed that Revere was "the best young talent in the Midwest."

I'd definitely rank Michael Brantley ahead of Revere. Austin Jackson #1. If you include De Aza in the "young centerfielder" discussion, Revere probably slides to 4th best in the division.

Isn't De Aza near 30, if he isn't already?
