Valverde has 277 career saves, and I'm pretty sure he has acted like a douche after every single one of them.

Addison Reed has 29 career saves, yet he acts like he has done it before each time he closes out a game.

You're right; some people act like pros and some people don't. What can you do? Valverde won, so we have to put up with his ****. Just have to make sure he doesn't win next year.

Yep. No ill will towards the Tigers here. Cabrera's a joy to watch at the plate, Verlander is a master of his craft, etc etc. They can do whatever they want in the postseason.

I feel that way but my hatred for Valverde sort of masks my liking of the rest of the team.

Can't say that I blame Sox fans although I'm not advocating violence against the guy.

It hurts badly to Sox fans to come close again and have it shoved up their asses but then Sox fans actually care about winning and losing (as opposed to some other franchises...)

IIRC back in the '07 playoffs the Cubs were pretty vocal about Valverde's hot dogging when he was with the DBacks, particularly from a certain hot dogger named Ron Santo (talk about "pot meet kettle"!!!).
