Had to give the Astros a lone vote.
But I'll pick Mets first, since they're still a big market team and can invest in better players more quickly than the other teams on the list. Also we know not to underestimate how quickly the Twins can turn things around. |

[QUOTE=Lip Man 1;2920454]Given the circumstances I have a hard time seeing how any of these clubs have any chance to make the playoffs in the foreseeable future.
Lip[/] It wasn't to long ago that I posted this poll, and the then Devil Rays were voted the least likely of the group with zero votes. There was simply no way possible for them to ever make it with the YANKEES or RED SOX in the same division. Since then, they've been to a World Series and the postseason three times including two division winners.

THought I would resurrect this thread that I started before this season. I would have never guessed in a million years that Baltimore would be the answer (since they clinched before Oakland). Oakland was a surprise, but I was less surprised by them than Baltimore since Oakland has at least made the postseason somewhat recently. Next year some new teams will have to fill in the spots previously occupied by Baltimore and Oakland.
Amazing kudos to the 2 people that selected Baltimore. I need next week's lottery numbers from you ASAP!!! |
