Better hope the stats that someone quoted earlier prove correct...i.e. Detroit has the best record against teams over .500 and one of the poorest against teams below .500.

Starting Friday the Tigers will see nothing but ****.

Even though Oakland didn't give us any help last night, Detroit needlessly wasted Valverde by having him pitch the 9th with a 6-run lead. I was pleased to see he promptly gave up 2 runs and was getting booed before getting the final out. Maybe he's getting tired too.

Too much dancing will do that to you.

Wish Oakland had the bases loaded when he did it though.

A's OFer bobbled it, not sure Cabrera would have scored, but official scorer ruled it an RBI and no error.

I was figuring Oakland would win at least one for us. Looks like I might have figured wrong.

Cabrera is hitting in a completely different world than others right now.

Minimized the damage. Get to Sanchez. He can be had.

Young singled immediately after Fielder to LF so it's kind of a moot point, though Detroit had runners at the corners with only one out and could not tack on an insurance run. Still 3-2 going into the 6th.
