Actor from Friday Night Lights.
More importantly, a fellow Wildkit.

Good. I wouldn't like it if some big Cubs fan was throwing out the first pitch at Comiskey. It just wouldn't make sense. If anyone knew who this guy was and knew he was a big Sox fan, I'd bet that the Cub fans would be like, "what's this guy doing here?"
Then again, who gives a crap. |

Wow, how many actors would put loyalty ahead of self-promotion?
Add Zach to that list, no doubt of his loyalties and passion for the beloved. ![]() http://www.chicagotribune.com/entert...5997929.column

FNL is probably my favorite show ever. Zach was so great in those last two seasons. I had no idea he was a Sox fan or even from the area.

My first thought was, well his publicist probably wasn't thrilled but upon further thought...he probably got more pub for saying no than if he had done it.

I believe Jenny McCarthy and Richard Roeper also turned the flubs down when asked to do this and sing the Stretch.

A few years ago, they had some guy throw out the first pitch. He walked out to the Mound with a Cubs' jersey on.
He then tore off the Cubs' jersey revealing a White Sox jersey, pulled a Sox hat from his back pocket and threw the first pitch. Ever since, the Cubs check out the clothing of the person tossing out the first pitch. IIRC, he was a friend of a WSIer.
