Angels win!

But though FRATER laughed openly, he wept secretly; and really he neither laughed nor wept. Nor did he mean what he said. |

Angels win on a walk-off single by Callaspo! Take that Dotel.
Tigers O looked anemic tonight from the reports I'm reading, wasted a solid Scherzer outing. Sound familiar?

The Angels are still in the WC hunt, don't expect the Angels to fall for us when we play them in a couple weeks. Thanks for the help Halos.

Which is what makes our play of late so much more infuriating. This is really starting to feel a lot like 2008 when it was a stumble to the finish.

Bacardi at the Park erupted when the Halos won it. I was walking down the stairs, heard a huge cheer, and knew what it was about before glancing at the TV screen.

The Sox are fortunate to be getting help right now. Obviously, our favorite team is not playing good baseball at the moment.
Detroit is at least getting good pitching in its losses (three 3-2 losses this week). That's probably my main concern right now. Neither the Sox nor the Tigers are hitting much, but Detroit is getting better starts and taxing its bullpen less. The attrition of the long season seems to be bothering the Sox more than the Tigers at this stage.

LAA up 4-0 in the 2nd vs. Verlander.
Let's hope they hold the lead.
