I just saw this today. What do the Cubs have to lose? Market it properly and they sell a couple thousand extra tickets to an otherwise meaningless and empty early October game.

MLB doesn't do one-day contracts. I don't know what they'd be, but I'm sure there would be some MLBPA issues to resolve regarding what they'd have to pay him.

Odd fact: Both Greenberg and Moonlight Graham are University of North Carolina grads.
