Terrible Cubs 2012 world series reference aside... This show looks awful.

Wow, music lifted from Mass Effect.

I was trying to find that information but I couldn't. All I found out was Jon Favruau (Obama's speechwriter) is a Red Sox fan.

Kind of off topic, but I LOVE American Ninja Warrior! I'm excited at the new season so far.
LOL at 2012. Whatever.

There was a writer for "Law & Order" who was a Sox fan. He slipped in a reference to us winning the '05 World Series once. Another time, a new cop from Chicago was introduced to the squad and she was asked Sox or Cubs. Her answer was a very WSI-like Sox response.

Mandy Patinkin, who was on Criminal Minds for a few seasons, is also a White Sox fan. Don't know if the episode you refer to is before or after his departure.

I watched almost all of the shows with him (it got weird after he left)... and I know I saw that episode. That show was so damn good early on. |

Dennis Farina's TV show Crime Story (NBC mid 80's) was set in Chicago in the early 1960's and they often made Sox references in it, including mentioning Minnie Minoso and Nellie Fox often.

I love that show. I watched it on Netflix a couple years ago (being born in 1984, I was a little young to see it when it aired). It was one of the first TV shows with a story arc, I think. It centered around the same tale that Scorsese would tell in Casino a few years later, based on Chicago Outfit member Tony Spilotro and Nick Pileggi's books.

Well, given that we believe that the producers are Sox fans, I get the joke:
Forget the Mayan prediction, the world will end when the Cubs win the Series! |

In the latest airings of the promo, the Cubs 2012 champs sign has disappeared,
looks like it might have been digitally removed, I don't know why. They probably wised up that the Cubs have a snowball's chance in hell of winning it all this year.

This reminds me of the 1991 Perfect Strangers episode where the Bulls were supposedly the worst team in the NBA, on a record losing streak.
