Sounds like Gardeck will sign, and he has the potential to be a great value as an 8th round pick.

Snodgress and Vance have signed.

I'm still trying to decide if Snodgress is the best name or the worst name.

Also kind of worth noting, the White Sox were going to select prep SS Brandon Martin with their supplemental pick, but the Rays beat them to it at number 38.

Just hopefully he isn't sitting there expecting money for where he thought he would be picked. It sounds like he is real excited to be with us though. A hometown guy, he may just want to get a deal done and get started.

We can always use good pen help, and it looks like we got some in this draft. If Gardeck works hard and progresses in his pitching career, he could be a good reliever.

Also worth noting that Walker is hitting .250/.357/.375 in the Alaskan Summer League with 10 SO's and 3 BB's through 24 at bats.

Those are the kind of numbers Greg Walker likes to see!

Hell, let's just skip signing him and avoid all the gnashing of teeth.

24 at bats in the Alaskan Summer League is all you need to see.

I made no judgement. Just stating his slash line. I'm well aware of small sample sizes.
