Impressions on Brandon Short?

Lead-off man and CF at Winston Salem. For the folks who get the opportunity to see the farm teams plan, what is the view on him? He seems to have a very high % of K/AB for a lead off man and is only 4 for 11 on SBs.... but is hitting .323...

I don't know much about Short, but just glancing at the W-S stats for this year, what about Jon Gilmore, too? Former 1st round pick of the Braves, part of the package we acquired for Javier Vazquez, he's tearing it up in A-ball.

Gilmore doesn't give you a whole lot outside of singles.

He also doesn't take a walk. He has great power, but it never shows up in games supposedly. He was also a butcher at 3B last year. No idea if that has changed. Fringy.

Short is a better prospect, but he needs to also take a walk now and then. He needs to keep hitting for power as well, because he isn't going to stick in CF.
