Any reason why BA hasn't made a start yet?

Haven't read anything about it. He has a certain number of days (5? anyone) to report once being sent down. Maybe he's taking his time getting there.

I think they get 48 hours to report. It's possible he's just not in the lineup tonight.

He must be playing behind Charlotte's version of Dwayne Wise.

Looks like Lillibridge is finally starting to get his **** together, although I'm not sure if he's in the organization's plan after his poor performance on the big club earlier this year.
I'd be interested to hear any reports on Mitchell's defense. I see he's playing CF. He was playing RF at LSU.

Looks like Jared Mitchell has gotten off to a good start in Class A.
6-12 (.500) 2 Doubles 4 Runs Scored .600 OB 2 RBI 1.267 OPS Only concern is of the 6 outs he has made, 4 are strikeouts. |

Quote:
As far as Mitchell goes, he is doing what I anticipated from him so far. He has the ability to hit the ball hard, but he occasionally does not pick up the ball out of the pitchers hand very well, leading to strikeouts. He is fast enough and has the tools to be a good defensive centerfielder, he just needs to learn how to take the right angles to the ball. Since he played wide receiver, he should be able to do that. Edit: LSU was really high on Mikie Mahtook. So they went for the fast outfield defense. Mitchell could have played center there, but the Tigers went for speed. |

DeWayne Wise is Charlotte's version of DeWayne Wise -- though not today.
