So who is the Infante kid?

12 IP, O ER, 3H, 13K, 3BB in 2 starts so far for Kannapolis. Never really heard of him before and a quick google search of his name brought me nothing. Anybody know anything about him? Is he a legit prospect or just off to a good start?

He's #30 for the Sox in this year's BBA prospect book. I'll paraphrase, since I think it's copyrighted material (but no copyright info in the book): mid 90's FB, no drop-off in velocity later in games; upper 70's curveball with good movement. Poor changeup that needs work. He's 6-2, 185, will be 22 in July.

He's starting his 4th year in the Sox system from Venezuela. He wasn't impressive early on with control problems, but had a breakthrough last year in Bristol. If he can keep building (good start on that this year vs. better hitters in high-A) they project him to mid-rotation for the Sox, but that won't happen anytime soon.

Odd that BA didn't pick a single Birmingham player for the list. Beckham and Allen are both hitting around .450 with power. Oh, well. Fernando Martinez is hitting .286 and might play in NYC.
