He's last man on the bench at Kannapolis, low A ball.

MILB site lists him as still at Kanny, where he has four at bats and two singles. Dramatically improving his minor league numbers. Ha.

Any update on this? They usually play rookies occasionally. Its been like three weeks since his last at bat? This just shows the nepotism needs to end.

Does anyone actually know why he isn't playing?

Kenny grounded him.
He's actually the key piece in a Duchsherer or Daniel Cabrera deal. |

Well - you can't trade him for a year - so that isn't it.

Just a quick update on Kenny Williams Jr.
I got an email from the Great Falls Tribune baseball beat writer today. KW Jr. is hurt and is doing his rehab elsewhere, probably at the White Sox minor league complex in Tucson. The reporter said the Voyageurs front office didn't inform the newspaper exactly how/where/when KW Jr. got hurt, but he is definitely on the disabled list. |

Mark Gonzales was kind enough to pass this along to me:
"He has a massive brace/cast on his shoulder following surgery. He will start rehab Aug. 2. He got hurt on a swing in his first game and tried to play through the pain." Lip |

Thanks Lip...hope the kid is doing better. Hate to see a talented kid hurt and then trying to play through it.
