Default Javier Castillo

He hit well at Birmingham at the beginning of the year, and has continued to hit well since being promoted to Charlotte. He doesn't seem to have much power or speed, but he's only 24. Does this guy have any future with the Sox, or is he a career minor leaguer?

Castillo was a SS but grew out of the position and the Sox slid him over to 3rd. He had a pretty good stat line last year in W/S: .288/.345/.434. Right now he doesn't hit well enough to play 3rd or a corner outfield spot and his D isn't good enough for a middle position, but he has shown some progress and isn't terribly old for his league. Right now I would say he projects as a AAAA/reserve type, but hopefully his bat will come along.
