Does anyone know if he's still rehabbing in Charlotte and will play tonight, July 7th? I'd love to drive down for the game as I'm just a couple hours away...

The media guy in Charlotte said he's on the roster and scheduled to play unless he decides to leave early and meet up with the Sox in KC. Does anyone know anymore???

Looks like Konerko picked up some hitting tips from Eldred.

More like he saw the Sox' won/loss record without him........

Konerko's a classic AAAA hitter...
The thing that is interesting to me, if Konerko is able to hit like he is capable in the second half, that is like us trading for the strongest bat available (short of MAYBE Teixiera) and may make other moves unecessary.

Forget Teixiera, he's a Borass client and just not worth the price for the rental period. |

To be clear, I wasn't advocating the Sox trade for Teixiera (although I do like him as a player). I was just stating that there are few bats available that would be equivalent to the "good Paulie" should he return in the 2nd half.

I'll might have a chance to see Charlotte in Louisville next week. I'm guessing I won't get to see Konerko play.

Great point. I too hope Paulie slays during the second half.

Konerko is set to return to the big club today in K.C. You'd have to watch him on TV.

I wonder if they'll announce Bobby going to the DL, opening up a spot for Paulie....

It's sounding like that will be the plan and giving Bobby until after the break.
