On Birmingham, there's really not much. Robert Valido was once our "shortstop of the future" but has seemed to regress each year for the past few seasons, and is now hitting a paltry .220. Clayton Richard, a starter out of Michigan is having a nice season at 6-6, 2.47. Kyle McCullough, our first round pick in 2006 is 3-5, 4.48.

1.80 ERA. 17 saves. 0 HR's. 25 IP's 24 K's. On the MLB level effectiveness-wise, he can either be similar to Boone Logan (lights out once he adjusts to MLB life) or Dewon Day (looks like a different guy than he did in the minors and completely ineffective). |
