Default MiLB's Top 50 Prospects

http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/m...top&pid=451594

It only goes from 50-21 right now, it'll be fully up there by Friday.

So far the only White Sox prospect to crack the list is Gio (surprise, surprise) at 24.

I'll update this if any of our other "prospects" get in, but at this point I doubt anymore get in.

Gio's write up:
Quote:
The lefty had a very successful year in the White Sox organization, leading the Minor Leagues in strikeouts while keeping Southern League hitters scratching their heads all season long. Gonzalez can throw three pitches for strikes, with a pretty good fastball, one of the best curveballs in the Minors and a pretty good changeup. There's been some concern about his durability because of his size, but he's reached 150 innings in each of the past two seasons, answering most of those questions.

It's clear Gonzalez, at the very least, is ready to move up after two seasons at the Double-A level. That might mean a year of Triple-A at age 22, which certainly wouldn't hurt. But if someone in Chicago's rotation should falter in 2008, Gonzalez should be more than ready to step in.

Ah seeing all these young position players really makes me jealous as a White Sox fan.

And don't expect to see any other Sox crack the top of this list, Gio is probably it.

There's a very slim chance DLS or Poreda could be on there but other than them, Gio is it.

BP actually has De los Santos rated higher than Gio, so it's possible that he could be top 20 in this feature also.

The write up suggests a year at AAA. I say no to that. I'd rather him be up here than Floyd next year.

Besides, AAA kills our prospects. All of our best pitchers have come right from AA.

Yes, but they normally don't put guys w/o a lot of experience on there, so I don't expect him to be.

Edit: Well, I guess im wrong, they're throwing guys from the 07 draft who haven't even thrown a pitch in their pro career yet on there. And it's now like scout voted, I don't think it was like that before.

The full list is now up on the link. No other Sox players other than Gio.
