Sweeney - Keep it up. You have a bright future, but you can have a star future if you can get your power numbers up.

He continues to dominate in AAA. His lefty/righty splits worry me a little, but it's a small sample size so it may be nothing.

At this point, I think it may be close to Fernando Hernandez' time to come up. He's been dominant at every stop, and if the scouting reports on him still hold true, he has the stuff to warrant an audition. He would be worth a September callup, or earlier if we (Ozzie I guess)ever come to our senses and realize Bukvich blows.

I wonder if Sweeney has worked out his hitting flaws yet such that he'd be ready for another call up to Chicago.
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing Richar up here sometime this year. We're not going anywhere in '07 - so I'd like to see if this guy could be a legitimate 2B for us. |

I assume Richar isn't on the 40-man? Has his option been used this year? I don't know where he is in his career, but is there any chance we'll see him before September? Mercy.

I'm still not convinced that our farm is as bad as some seem to keep saying it is.

Can't we just let Sweeney play instead of Mackowiak? Captain Hard Groundout has run his course in my opinion, and a long time ago.

I don't think Sweeney will hit enough to play corner OF. He needs to be moved to center until he proves he can hit enough to play left or right.
