Default Honel: On the road to recovery

Kris Honel made an appearance for Birminham: 1 IP, 0 H, 1BB

Nice to see him finally coming back from that extended layoff, hope he comes back full strength because he's probably our best pitching prospect.

This is definately good to hear. I assume this was also a promotion because he was in W-S last year.

For the worrywarts in the crowd....... Honel's velocity is still WAY down. He was throwing 80-82 today, topping out at 83.

He is a great talent. When he was a senior in HS he was warming up for Providence in the bullpen to come in to face us. We were coming back but stopped just short. He wasn't needed. Too bad, because that would have been great to face him. I was in the hole and if it would have gotten to me, he probably would have been brought in. He was throwing laser beems in the pen though. I was getting nervous. Hopefully he will be a great one for a long time once he makes it up here.
