Only 162 games of the Ventura era remain.

The offseason will be infinitely more interesting than the actual season.

2005 White Sox- 99-63

2013 White Sox- 63-99

This year's team is as bad as our WS team was good.

The 1983 team that the Sox honored this year by wearing the throwback jerseys on Sundays (although for some reason they wore them last night and not today) also finished 99-63.

Trying to figure out which was more appropriate:

1. Witnessing three outs on the bases in the first three innings. Two of the plays were right in front of the base runners. I suggest mandatory eye exams during spring training physicals.
2. Watching them load the bases with one out in the ninth and then fail to put the ball in play with the next two hitters.

Glad this is over. Tough year to be a Sox fan.

I'm thinking a better theme for the TBGR would've been Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen.

And let's not forget the 1983 team, the team they paid tribute to for the 30th anniversary of running away with the division all year, was also 99 - 63.

Way to make them look even better, guys.

SMO

Edit: And how fitting, how appropos, how 2013 White Sox it was to leave the tying runs on base to end today's game.
Edit II: Props to Wedema for mentioning the 1983 team record before me. And just why DIDN'T they wear those uniforms today? Becausse the laundry wasn't back from last night?

Lot of work ahead, will be interesting which direction they go. If they want to go the rebuild with kids route it's going to take some time. Right now it's a few pitchers, Garcia and maybe Semien and not a whole lot more.

Good riddance to a miserable season.

We officially have pick #3 in next year's draft, the front office better do their homework on who they eventually select.

Fitting that this team finishes with a record that is the exact opposite of the 2005 team: 63-99.

Congratulations JR, KW, Hahn, and company - you let this organization rot from a pennant contender in the mid 2000s to a bottom feeder today.

It's embarrassing that Ventura is coming back after the way the team played this season.

Next step, a quick rise to the top, floating belly up.
