Default *OFFICIAL* 9/24 Sox Walked Off Post Game Thread

The one pitch Giambi can still hit out is a hanging slider and Addison throws him one. I was really hoping to beat Cleveland too.

Addison Reed will not be closer by the All Star Break next year. He'll still be in the pen, just won't be the closer.

His stats are as good as ever, but he's never had that extra 'it' that real dominant closers seem to have.

Wow they really are going to make this as painful as possible until the final pitch. I shouldn't care about these games yet I do. And now I'm really pissed off.

Isn't that his 2nd walkoff against us this year? How pitiful. Not that it matters but we really can't be popular in Texas right now. Mercy.

I hate Giambi so much. And I can't wait for Reed to be moved out of the closer's role. I'm officially done with him there.

You are aware Jose Quintana has a PED suspension under his belt, right?

13 in a row against any club is one tough monkey to do.

The Indians are 3 games above 0.500 against everyone that isn't the Sox. They are gonna get rolled in the playoffs.

You've got to hand it to the Sox for basically gift wrapping playoff appearances for Detroit and Cleveland playoff in the last 2 years.

Reed cannot close out a game without drama. It's exactly like when Jenks stopped overpowering guys, "became a contact pitcher", and people argued that the fact that he was getting a ****-ton of contact didn't matter because he was still getting saves. 1-2-3 innings are just too rare for him to be relied upon to close.

I've got to hand it to this team. It's just good enough to be spectacularly bad. This season has been epic.

If by "strong contribution" you mean getting the golden sombrero once again, then yes, he gave us a strong contribution tonight. Dunn is such a tool.

BTW, has anyone noticed that Rongey hasn't taken calls on the postgame show in weeks? Either he's over dealing with the callers or there aren't any to deal with, so he cuts the show short.

He started his off season a month early. He is 12 for his last 104 ABs with 54 strikeouts.
