How many stinkin' times did we need a sweep in KC and couldn't get the job done, and now they sweep when it doesn't matter. LOL, baseball is cruel.
Six in a row, why not? The kids can play.

Frank pretty much throwing Rios' under the bus on the postgame. Maybe Peavy too. Said the team had bad chemistry all year and needed to be broken up. They only got rid of two big guys, but feels like a different team.

Pretty much, although, let's not forget this win streak is at the hands of the Twins who are probably worse than we are and the fading Royals. I expect a pretty cold dose of reality tomorrow when the Rangers come to town.

At least the booing Rios is sure to receive appears to be justifiable.

Yea, and the rangers are playing well right now, so it should be interesting .. The White Sox really do seem like a different team now and i'm looking forward to this series to see how they play..

I'm not going to root for the Sox to lose. So, this 6 game winning streak has been a breath of fresh air after months of lousy play.

But, that being said, this team isn't going anywhere and I wouldn't mind a shot at a higher draft pick. I believe that would come with higher money allotted for the international draft too.

Hey, if the Sox win enough games to get the 11th pick, then at least some can keep the excuse alive that the Sox farm system is bad because we almost never have top 10 picks.

But, after that we get the Astros. I'm not under any illusion that this Sox team is only 1 or 2 pieces away from contending, but with this starting pitching, they really shouldn't have been making a run at the 1970 team's loss total. One nice thing is that they were able to plug in Rienzo into the rotation after trading Peavy. So, it wasn't just us trading our veterans and fielding total scrubs after they were gone.

Don't worry, I've already been assured by WSI that Sox fans aren't that "foolish" and that nothing of the sort will happen.

We also stopped the clowning on the base paths and in the field, for the most part. That cost us a lot of early games. Rios looks the same on Texas as he did here with his "I dont' give a ****" demeanor. I'm sure he does give a ****, but I can see how that kind of demeanor, without strong leadership, could infect.
But we don't need to kill ourselves to win 70 games this year.

I'd still like the higher draft pick, too.

It's not even that. I want to win all the games we can....but it isn't that important; certainly not important to risk wearing out arms of young pitchers.

Last night he does it to protect a 3 run lead.
We really need an upgrade in the dugout...badly.

In other words, if the Sox lose, you criticize them.

If the Sox win, you criticize them.

As a paying fan, I fully expect my team to play its best at all times no matter what.

What kind of fan are you?

How is this happening now? Would have preferred it earlier in the year, but happy to see some consistency out of this bunch.

There may be a variety of opinions here on life, liberty and baseball. Call me naive if you like but I assume that almost everybody here is a diehard.

Who said they shouldn't play their best. I said they shouldn't over pitch their young pitchers.

Wouldn't you rather pay to see a team developing for a championship rather than a team that probably won't win 70 out of 162 games stop at nothing to try? Your logic seems backwards considering your investment.

It's silly to use your young stud closer in six straight ballgames in this kind of a season. The best that could happen is he doesn't get injured.
